This Privacy Policy explains what information the Fisherman’s Log Book application (the “App”) handles, how it is handled, and what your choices are. The short version. We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or monetize your data. There are no third-party trackers, no advertising networks, and no analytics services in this App. Everything you record stays on your device and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud account. 1. Information We Do Not Collect We do not collect personal information. We do not require an account. We do not request an email address. We do not use cookies or web trackers. We do not embed third-party advertising frameworks. We do not embed third-party analytics frameworks. We do not sell, lease, or share your information with anyone. 2. Information That Stays on Your Device The App allows you to record information about your fishing trips, including: Trip dates and place names you enter Geographic coordinates, only when you choose to capture them via the “Use Current Location” feature Weather and water conditions you select or type in Catch details, including species, quantity, weight, length, and lure or bait Names of anglers who fished with you Trip notes Photos that you attach to a trip This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. 3. iCloud Synchronization If you are signed into iCloud on your Apple device, the App uses Apple’s CloudKit framework to synchronize your data privately across your own Apple devices through your private iCloud database. Your data is stored in YOUR iCloud account, not ours. Hogan Consulting LLC has no access to your data. iCloud sync is governed by Apple’s privacy and security infrastructure. See Apple’s Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ for details. You may disable iCloud sync for the App at any time through the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud. 4. Location Information The App requests location access only when you tap “Use Current Location” while creating or editing a trip. At that moment, your device’s coordinates are captured and stored with your trip record on your device (and in your private iCloud, if enabled). The App does not transmit your location to Hogan Consulting LLC or to any third party. If you grant permission, the App may also use Apple’s reverse-geocoding service to convert your coordinates into a readable place name. That single request is handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy. 5. Camera and Photos The App requests access to your camera and photo library only when you choose to add a photo to a trip. Photos you select are stored with your trip record on your device and in your private iCloud, if enabled. No photos are uploaded to Hogan Consulting LLC or to any third party. 6. Children’s Privacy The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App does not collect personal information from anyone, this should not be a concern in practice. 7. Data You Export The App provides tools to export your data as a CSV file or to print a trip summary. Once you export or print data, what you do with it is up to you. Hogan Consulting LLC has no role in any exported or printed file. 8. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be noted in the App’s release notes. 9. Contact If you have questions about this Privacy Policy: Hogan Consulting LLC Email: hoganconsultingllc@gmail.com
Fisherman's Log Book - Support
Thank you for choosing Fisherman’s Log Book. We hope it is a useful companion to your time on the water. Getting Started Tap the + button to create a new trip. Fill in as much or as little as you like — every field is optional. Tap Use Current Location to capture GPS coordinates and a place name. Add catches, anglers, photos, and notes as needed. Tap Save. iCloud Sync Fisherman’s Log Book syncs your trips privately through your own iCloud account. To use it: Make sure you are signed into iCloud on your device. Make sure iCloud Drive is enabled. Make sure Fisherman’s Log Book is enabled under Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud. If your data does not appear on a second device right away, give iCloud a few minutes. If the problem persists, try toggling iCloud off and on for the App, or signing out and back in. Privacy We do not collect any data from you. Everything stays on your device and (if enabled) in your private iCloud. We do not have access to your trips, photos, or location. See our Privacy Policy for full details. Export and Backup You can export your full journal — or any filtered date range — as a CSV file. Open the menu (•••) on the main screen and choose Export to CSV. You can also print a formatted season summary or per-trip report. Common Questions Q: Why does this app cost money instead of being free with ads? A: Because we believe your private fishing data should stay private. Free apps usually pay for themselves by collecting and selling user data, or by serving ads. We do neither. The purchase price is what allows us to keep that promise. Q: Does the app fetch weather from the internet? A: No. You enter the weather and water conditions you actually observed at your location. We think the angler is the best sensor for what is happening on the water — far better than a reporting station that might be miles away from your spot. Q: Can I share trips with friends? A: Not at this time. Fisherman’s Log Book is a single-user, private journal. You can print or export individual trips and share those files however you like. Q: What happens to my data if I delete the app? A: Local data is removed from the device. If you had iCloud sync enabled, your data remains in your iCloud account and will return when you reinstall the app on a device signed into the same iCloud account. Q: How do I delete a trip? A: On the main screen, swipe left on the trip and tap Delete. Or use Edit mode (top-left button) and tap the red minus icon. Q: How do I edit a trip? A: Tap the trip to open its details, then tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner. Q: How do I add the people I fished with? A: When creating or editing a trip, scroll to the Anglers section, type a name, and tap the + button. The app remembers your regulars and suggests them as you type on future trips. Contact For questions, bug reports, or feedback: Email: hoganconsultingllc@gmail.com We read every message and try to respond within a few business days. Thank you for supporting independent, privacy-respecting software. ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
